A breathtaking Rare Black Opal and White Sapphire Ring, Described by the Ancient Romans as the "Queen of All Gems." Opals occur in several types, the rarest being black which features sparkling colors of blue, green, and grey playing dramatically in the light. The gemstone is revered as a symbol of hope, fidelity and purity. This beauty was handcrafted by Claire and other high school students while mentored by artisans. The ring contains a single, personally selected 11.13 carat black opal, oval cut, dancing with internal colors. It is surrounded by 106 brilliant cut, sparkling white sapphires, pave set, in a rhodium over silver custom-made setting showcasing the gorgeous, handmade, one-of-a-kind piece. If this ring (currently sized 7-8) doesn't fit, it can be easily re-sized or made adjustable. There are no employees, only student volunteers and kind-hearted mentors.
