- Zircon embedded, sterling silver earrings with a 1.2" drop and 8-9 mm Miriam Haskell 1940's vintage dark gray baroque pearls.
Colorless zircon is a well known gem for its brilliance and flashes of multicolored light, called fire. These two zircon properties are close enough to the properties of diamond to account for centuries of confusion between the two gems.
About Miriam Haskell pearls:
Miriam Haskell is known for the collectible, vintage designs as her studio has been manufacturing since 1926 in their New York City boutique. Creating couture fashion jewelry for the high-society women of New York, Miriam quickly became a favorite designer of Coco Chanel, Joan Crawford, and Jackie Kennedy. Each pearl was hand-picked in her studio. Our students deconstructed several vintage necklaces purchased from collectors and created new designs. These earrings are an example of vintage meets vogue.
